Victor Elementary School District offers health and welfare benefits to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide resources to keep you informed so that you may utilize the plan benefits to their fullest potential.

 Open Enrollment is May 2 through May 20, 2022  
For benefit eligible employees, this is your annual opportunity to make changes or corrections to your insurance.  To access the Open Enrollment webpage and forms CLICK HERE

As a reminder, all current plan selections from the prior year will be carried over to the 2022-2023 year, unless you make changes during open enrollment.  Open enrollment changes become effective July 1st except for SISC Certificated (VETA Bargaining Unit Member) Medical Plan changes which become effective October 1st.

•   Medical Plans for Certificated (VETA Bargaining Unit Members) Teachers, Speech Therapists and Nurses transitioned to Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC) medical plans on 7/1/2021. SISC Plans include Blue Shield HMO, Blue Shield PPO and Kaiser. These plans do not include the Bridge Plan component.  To be directed to the Certificated Medical Benefits website, CLICK HERE

Medical Plans for Classified, Management, Confidential and Psychologist employees and retirees are offered through the High Desert Trust (HDIEET).  These plans, Aetna PPO, Aetna HMO and Kaiser all include The Bridge Program.  Scroll down to tabs below to view a Summary of Benefits for each plan.

*Remember, if you receive a large medical billing for services such as hospitalization, out patient surgery, MRI or ER services (less a member copay of $250 for ER), submit a claim along with your bill directly to our bridge plan administrator, Grenz Co., Inc.

• 2022/2023 Part Time Classified Employee Insurance Costs
Cost information is provided for Part Time Classified Employees interested in purchasing medical insurance.  The cost to enroll in medical insurance is prorated, based on your position hours.

 Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for HDIEET Medical Plan Subscribers

Aetna offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees who are enrolled in a HDIEET district medical plan with Aetna or Kaiser.  An EAP is designed to assist employees by providing resources such as counseling services, legal services financial services and a variety of other work life resources.  This is a free confidential service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  EAP Returning to Work after COVID-19 Flyer

Reminders...


  Change in Legal Marital Status
Notify Personnel Services as soon as possible if you've had a change in legal marital status, including marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment, or death of a spouse in order to submit insurance enrollment change forms within the required 30 day window.  Scroll to bottom of page to download forms.

  New Spouse or Newborn Child
Coverage for a new spouse or newborn child is not automatic.  If you experience a change in family status you have 30 days to update your insurance coverage.  Contact Personnel Services immediately to complete the appropriate forms.   If you do not update your coverage within 30 days from the family status change, you will have to wait until the next annual open enrollment period add them to your insurance. Go365 is a wellness and rewards program available to employees enrolled in our High Desert Trust Aetna or Kaiser health plans.  Eligible employee groups: Classified, Management, Confidential and Psychologist active employees.

Adding a Dependent?
Changes that involve adding dependents due to marriage, birth, or adoption of a child, must be reported within 30 days of the event. A marriage or birth certificate is required when adding a dependent to the insurance.
