As part of our distance learning program, we will begin distributing Chromebooks to VESD students in grades 2-6. Students in TK-1 will receive distance learning through alternative formats.
Chromebooks will be distributed from 10AM - 2PM according to the following schedule:
Tuesday, March 31 - Endeavour, Galileo, Lomitas, Mojave Vista
Wednesday, April 1 - Discovery, Liberty, Park View, RB21
Thursday, April 2 - Brentwood, Challenger, Village, West Palms
Friday, April 3 - Del Rey, Green Tree, Irwin, Puesta del Sol, Sixth Street Prep
In order to observe strict social distancing guidelines, the distribution process will be as follows:
- Families will follow the drive-up path for each campus, maps posted below.
- Families must provide the name of each student and their teacher (student must be present).
- VESD Staff will obtain Chromebook then place it in the trunk of each family's vehicle.
- Families can then exit campus or proceed to meal pickup (between 11AM-1PM).
We will only distribute Chromebooks to walk-ups who live adjacent to each school or those who are unable to drive through. We will not distribute to those who park on school grounds and walk up. Again, we must adhere to strict social distancing guidelines wherever possible.
Here are some other important items to consider:
- Only current VESD students are eligible to receive a Chromebook.
- Students must be present.
- Chromebook pick up is not mandatory - students may use their own devices.
- The Parent/Guardian is financially responsible and will be charged the full replacement cost of the device in the event of loss, theft, or damage to the device.
- Chromebooks and the power charger must be returned to Victor Elementary School District upon request.
- The Parent/Guardian/Student must adhere to user agreements, which will be given along with Chromebook.
