• Medical Plans for Certificated (VETA Bargaining Unit Members) Teachers, Speech Therapists and Nurses transitioned to Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC) medical plans on 7/1/2021. • Medical Plans for Classified, Management, Confidential and Psychologist employees and retirees are offered through the High Desert Trust (HDIEET). Available plans are Aetna PPO, Aetna HMO and Kaiser and all include The Bridge Program. Scroll down to tabs below to view a Summary of Benefits for each plan including the Bridge Program.

• 2022/2023 Part Time Classified Employee Insurance Costs
Cost information is provided for Part Time Classified Employees interested in purchasing medical insurance. The cost to enroll in medical insurance is prorated, based on your position hours. In addition to the plans in the tabs below the Aetna PPO 8A Minimum Value without Bridge Plan is also an option for Classified Part Time employees who wish to purchase coverage.
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for HDIEET Medical Plan Subscribers
Aetna offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees who are enrolled in a HDIEET district medical plan with Aetna or Kaiser. An EAP is designed to assist employees by providing resources such as counseling services, legal services financial services and a variety of other work life resources. Reminders...
• Change in Legal Marital Status
Notify Personnel Services as soon as possible if you've had a change in legal marital status, including marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment, or death of a spouse in order to submit insurance enrollment change forms within the required 30 day window. Scroll to bottom of page to download forms.
• New Spouse or Newborn Child
Coverage for a new spouse or newborn child is not automatic. If you experience a change in family status you have 30 days to update your insurance coverage. Contact Personnel Services immediately to complete the appropriate forms. If you do not update your coverage within 30 days from the family status change, you will have to wait until the next annual open enrollment period add them to your insurance.
