Victor Elementary School District offers health and welfare benefits to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide resources to keep you informed so that you may utilize the plan benefits to their fullest potential.

Medical Plans for active and eligible retired VETA Bargaining Unit Members are provided through Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC).  Plan options include Blue Shield PPO, Blue Shield HMO and Kaiser HMO.  Benefit Summaries are available in the tabs below.

-  Open Enrollment changes made to medical plans will go into effect on October 1, 2023.

-  Open Enrollment changes made to dental, vision, or voluntary supplemental insurance plans went into effect July 1, 2023.

Life Insurance
Basic and Voluntary Life/AD&D Insurance transitioned from Mutual of Omaha to MetLife with improved benefits.  The district-paid Basic Life AD&D Insurance benefit amount increased to $50,000.  All current elections carried over to MetLife starting July 1, 2023. 

A special enrollment period will be held from September 11th through September 22nd for employees and now eligible dependents to enroll in/purchase or make changes to your Voluntary Supplemental Life/AD&D coverage.  Please check your email for more information.

 

Optional Voluntary Insurance Plans
Enrollment, cancellation or changes to these plans can be made during the open enrollment period held during the first three weeks in May with changes becoming effective July 1st. The cost to enroll in these plans is processed as a payroll deduction.

Section 125 Flexible Spending Account Plans
American Fidelity is our district's third-party administrator for the Section 125 Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Plans.  Employees can enroll for the first time or re-enroll in a Section 125 Flexible Spending Account during the open enrollment period held in May.   Contact
